Jocelyn Bioh’s adaptation of The Merry Wives of Windsor will run July 5 – Aug. 29 at Central Park’s Delacorte Theatre, directed by Saheem Ali. Casting TBA.

  Set in South Harlem amidst a community of West African immigrants, the production will be “a celebration of Black joy, laughter, and vitality.”

  New Camerata Opera presents the virtual world premiere of The Brooklyn Job, an interactive, virtual museum heist. on May 6 & 8 at 8 PM ET, written & directed by Sarah Morgan Ashey, with music direction by Dan Franklin Smith. The thrilling narrative is set to wide-ranging repertoire selections performed by a cast of 10 singers, which include on-location shoots and live performance elements.

LA’s Echo Theater Company presents Matthew Paul Olmos’ Underneath the Freeways of Los Angeles, to stream for 16 performances – Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Apr. 2-26, directed by Michael Alvarez.

  Two bodies have been discovered in the lake at Hollenbeck Park, right below the newly-built section of the Golden State Freeway that runs directly overhead. You, the audience, will speak directly to the office in charge of the investigation. You will question the witnesses and persons of interest. Who is the guilty party? The audience will then split into groups, each of which will rotate between five “holding cells” (breakout rooms). Everyone will have a chance to listen to and question each potential suspect. Is this case about race, power, displacement or community?

Lindsey Ferrentino will adapt her play Amy and the Orphans into a film, directed by the playwright, to stream on Netflix.

  Three siblings go on a the trip of a lifetime. After their father’s death, Maggie and Jacob reunite with Amy, their movie-loving sister who has Down Syndrome. Together, they careen down the Great American Long Island Expressway, navigating strip malls, traffic jams, and family drama.

  Lin Manuel Miranda & Jeremy McCarter’s “In the Heights: Finding a Home,” chronicling the life of the musical from its humble beginnings to the upcoming feature film, will be released in Hardcover and Kindle on June 22. here.

Readers will find lyric annotations by Miranda and essays by Alegría Hudes as the trio traces the making of an unlikely Broadway hit musical. The book  also offers untold stories, newly commissioned portraits, and never-before-seen photos from backstage, the movie set, and productions around the world.
