  Red Bull Theater‘s The Beast of Hungary live & livestream reading, by Lope De Vega, directed by Nadia Guevara, featuring Shirine Babb, Jimonn Cole, Darryl Gene Daughtry Jr., Jill Durso, Zachary Fine, Santino Fontana, Ismenia Mendes, Maria-Christina Oliveras, Sean Runnette, Han Van Sciver, and Chauncy Thomas, at 7:30 PM at Off-Broadway’s Sheen Center .

  Thomas Meehan, Bob Martin, Matthew Sklar & Chad Beguelin’s Elf The Musical will run  Nov. 9 – Jan. 4, 2025 (opening Nov. 17) at the Marquis Theatre, directed by Philip Wm. McKinley, with choreography Liam Steel, and music supervision by Alan Williams.

  George Tabori’s The Goldberg Variations will run Sept. 19 – Oct. 6 at Theater for the New City, directed by Manfred Bormann.

  Jeff Burchfield, Jee Duman, Derrick Peterson, Alyssa Simon, Matt Walker, and Dana Watkins.

  A backstage comedy set in Jerusalem, where a play based on disasters in the Old and New Testaments is being rehearsed. The director of this play, Mr. Jay, is deliberately named with the initial of Jehovah. His assistant, Goldberg, is a Jew and an Auschwitz survivor. They enact the Creation, the Fall of Man, the near-sacrifice of Isaac, the Golden Calf, and the Crucifixion with a satirical combination of seriousness, farce and unashamedly bad jokes.

  Constance Mellors, Scottie Nevil, Kerry Melachouris, Gabriela Collazo, Ellie Aguilar, Angelina Raiche, Victoria Lavan, David Mingrino, Donald Moore, Robert W. Laur, Michael Van Duzer, and Paul Cady.

  A 90-minute romp through various musical theatre shows, plus a few pop favorites. Musical selections include a Stephen Sondheim medley, plus songs from In the Heights, The Secret Garden, Hair, Kiss Me Kate, and a new musical, Cafe con Leche.

  Two world premiere one-act musicals will run Oct. 10 -27 at Hollywood’s Art of Acting Studio.

   Someone Like Me, written & directed by Richard Gustin, featuring Bianca Foscht and Marcus Wellsm with Angelika Giatras.   A biting comedy focusing on Jordan, who is on the edge with her fiancé when a stranger enters her world and turns it upside down. He leads the two of them into an increasingly pointed debate about the tides of culture, love, and Jordan’s own looming commitment.

  In Whose Eyes?, by George Kappaz, directed by Johnny Patrick Noder, featuring  Suzanne Ford, George Kappaz, Kirsta Peterson, Walter Rodriguez, William Salyers,  and Elizabeth Ivy Southard.  A man caught in a cascade of historical events threatens everything he holds dear. His ability to survive these events is both remarkable and inexplicable. But a trial in the afterlife draws into question the morality of his choices and the destination of his soul.
