Group: Off-Broadway’s Public Theater has announced its 2025-2027 Emerging Writers Group, an ongoing initiative that works with playwrights at the earliest stages of their career, creating an artistic home and offering support and resources for a remarkable group of up-and-coming playwrights.
Dezi Bing, Brynn Hambley, Jordanna Hernandez, Brian Hilario, Haley Lopes, Megan Ruoro, Eka Savajol, Jeana Scotti, Gein Wong, and Drew Woodson. Finalists for the cohort include Javier Calderon, Aditya Lal Chadha, Michelle de Joya, Venessa Diaz, Diana Khổng, Forest Malley, Thaddeus McCants, Anike Sonuga, Luz Lorenzana Twigg, and Garrett Zuercher.

King Richard II banishes Henry Bolingbroke, seizes noble land, and uses the money to fund wars. Henry returns to England to reclaim his land, gathers an army of those opposed to Richard, and deposes him. Now as Henry IV, Henry imprisons Richard, and Richard is murdered in prison.

Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 will run Nov. 3-30 at Sag Harbor’s Bay Street Theatre, directed by Stephen Hamilton.

An eccentric, old-school classy Oscar-nominated character actor, Augustus Nepopoulos, is going through a rough patch in his career when he reconnects with his nephew, Baby. Twenty-two, unemployed, and still living with his rich parents, Baby is in desperate need of some guidance. So, when he mentions in passing that he wants to try acting, Augustus is quick to offer a helping hand. It’s an invigorating partnership for both, but as Baby’s career begins to skyrocket, his intentions come into question: will he stick by his uncle and bring him along for the ride? Or will he get sucked into the darkness of fame and leave him for dead? Nepo Baby begs the question: What is success? And what will even those closest to you do to keep it?
