  Cole Escola’s Oh, Mary!, regularly one of Broadway’s top-grossing plays since it began performances at the Lyceum Theatre June 26, has officially recouped its production costs on Broadway, and is the first show of the 2024-2025 Broadway season to do so.

   A memorial celebration for Gavin Creel, open to the public, will stream live in the U.S. and U.K. on Mon. Dec. 2  at 4 PM ET.

The event will stream in the U.S. on YouTube via MCC Theater, and in the U.K. via Society of London Theatre.

   Off-Broadway’s 59E59 Theaters has announced its Winter 2025 season.

  Old Clock (Jan. 8-19), by Robert Schenkkan, directed by Jorge Andrade.   The political satire brings Portugal’s most popular souvenir, The Rooster of Barcelos, to life as he demands answers from fascist dictator Prime Minister Salazar.

  Radio Downtown: Radical ’70s Artists Live on Air (Jan. 11 – Feb. 9), written & directed by Steve Cosson.   Created from archival interviews from WNYC’s “Arts Forum,” a 1970s radically open format radio show about avant garde artists, the world premiere production combines verbatim broadcasts from ’70s trailblazers with images and films of the time.

  Dear Jack, Dear Louise (Jan. 18 – Feb. 16), by Ken Ludwig, directed by Stpehen Nachamie, featuring Alexandra Fortin and Michael Liebhauser.    The play details the love story of Ludwig’s parents against the backdrop of World War II.

  Pecking Order (Jan. 29 – Feb. 15), by Robin Rice, directed by Basil Rodericks. The play unfolds when two red-tailed hawks build a nest on a ritzy apartment building on the Upper East Side. Doorman Albert is determined to protect them, but many of the building’s residents aren’t happy about it.

  Sugarcraft (Feb. 16 – Mar. 15), by Danny Tieger, directed by Ryan Emmons.  The work invites audiences to enter Lady Dupray’s exclusive parlour for a cooking presentation by Mary Eales, who dazzled Queen Anne’s royal court with the invention of ice cream.

  Amerikin (Mar. 1 – Apr. 15) ,Primary Stage’s production of Chisa Hutchinson’s play.   A new father joins a white supremacist group to protect his son. When his attempt is thwarted by surprising ancestry test results, the line between “us” and “them” blurs.

  House of Blue Robes (Mar. 7-16) in development, by Seth Zvi Rosenfeld.

  “Broadway’s Leading Men: A Musical Celebration!,” which was filmed Feb. 3, at Howard University’s Cramton Auditorium in Washington, D.C, will make its PBS debut Nov. 29; check local listings. The concert event, which will begin airing in NYC on WNET Dec, 7, will also be available for streaming via PBS Passport.
