  Your Name Means Dream, written & directed by José Rivera, featuring Sara Koviak (Stacy) and Anne O’Sullivan (Aislin), opens at TheaterWorks Hartford.

  Stephen Schwartz & Lindsey Ferrentino’s The Queen of Versailles will begin previews Oct. 8 and open Nov. 9 at the St. James Theatre, directed by Michael Arden.

  From computer engineer to Mrs. Florida to billionairess, Jackie Siegel sees herself as the embodiment of the American Dream. Now, as the wife of David “The Timeshare King” Siegel and mother of their eight children, they invite us to behold their most grandiose venture yet: they’re building the largest private home in America in Orlando, Florida – a $100 million house big enough for her dreams and inspired by the Palace of Versailles. But with the Great Recession of 2008 looming, Jackie and David’s dreams begin to crumble, along with their lavish lifestyle. The Queen of Versailles explores the true cost of fame and fortune, and one family’s pursuit of the American Dream – at any cost.

  Mixed eMotion Theatrix will present Gatsby Redux June 5-14 at LA’s  Greystone Mansion (905 Loma Vista Drive in Beverly Hills) directed & choreographed by Janet Roston.

   The performance  invites audience members to follow the dancers on an exciting and evocative journey into the 1920’s. This 90-minute outdoor performance explores themes from the novel as well as immersing the audience into Gatsby’s world amidst the stunning backdrop of the vintage gardens and mansion.

Additional information: The event is outside and will involve walking throughout the performance, at times walking on slate, grass and stairs. Comfortable shoes are encouraged. Guests are encouraged to arrive between 6:30 and 7 p.m., dressed in 1920s-themed attire, if they so wish, for a chance
to take photos on the beautiful terrace of Greystone. Due to the historic nature of the grounds, some sections of the performance are only accessible via stairs.

  The Noir-inspired adaptation of Hamlet continues through July 6 at the Mark Taper Forum, directed by Robert O’Hara.

In this brisk and intense excavation of the classic text with new scenes and characters, we will step into a forensic investigation of the ultimate crimes of passion to see what really went down.

  Joe DiPietro’s What New Pussycat will offer industry presentaions (times not announced) on June 24 & 25 at NYC’s New 42 Studios (229 W. 42nd St), directed by Luke Sheppard.

  A wildly entertaining new musical comedy that marries Henry Fielding’s classic novel Tom Jones with the iconic pop hits of Tom Jones. Set in swinging 1960s London, What’s New Pussycat? follows a charming young romantic on a madcap quest to win back the love of his life. Featur   ove, and plenty of surprises.

   The L.A. premere of Jeremy Desmon & Jeff Thomson’s Pump Up the Volume will run June 6-15 at the Hudson Backstage Theatre, directed by Dave Solomon, with music direction by Anthony Zediker.

  Anthony Norman, Robert Mammana, Emily Ann Pember, Michele Ragusa,Darcy Rose Byrnes, Jasiana Caraballo,  Aaron Gibbs, Amanda Angeles, Bryan Munar, Will Riddle, Luz Rodriguez, Madison Miyuke, Tarrick, and Marcel Walker.

  The musical channels the rebellious energy of underground radio into a heart-pounding theatrical experience, and follows the story of Mark, a teen outcast who rocks a small town after launching an underground pirate radio station, broadcasting nightly as a no-holds-barred shock jock. When tragedy strikes and the powers-that-be make him their scapegoat, this unlikely hero must cut through the static and find his true voice. Running time is 150 minutes, including one intermission.
