   “Cinderella: The Reunion” 25th anniversary live watch party, featuring Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg, Paolo Montalban, Victor Garber, Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander, and Veanne Cox, airs at 8 PM on ABC.

  Treason the Musical in Concert, by Ricky Allan & Allan Kieran Lynn, directed by Hannah Chissick, featuring Carrie Hope Fletcher (Martha Percy), Bradley Jaden (Thomas Percy), Simon-Anthony Rhoden (Robert Catesby), Les Dennis (Robert Cecil), Emilie Louise Israel (Eleanor Brooksby), Rebecca Lachance (Anne Vaux), Daniel Boys (King James), Cedric Neal (Earl of Northumberland), Waylon Jacobs (Jack Wright), Adam Pearce (Thomas Wintour), and Debris Stevenson (Narrator), closes at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

  The world premiere of Ed. Weinberger’s Two Jews Talking,  currently in previews, will open Aug. 29 at Theatre at St. Clements, directed by Dan Wackerman.

A hilarious romp through time. Two one-act plays bring Lou and Bud together in the Biblical past, and Phil and Marty together in contemporary Long Island. They philosophize about women, sex, food, the divine, and destiny in this tale of companionship and friendship.

  A new revival of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun will run Sept. 27 – Nov. 6 (opening Oct. 19) at The Public Theater, directed by Robert O’Hara.

Francois Battiste (Walter Lee Younger), Toussaint Battiste (Travis Younger alternate), John Clay III (Joseph Asaggi), Calvin Dutton (Bobo), Mister Fitzgerald (George Murchison), Perri Gaffney (Mrs. Johnson),  Paige Gilbert, Mandi Masden (Ruth Younger), Camden McKinnon Travis Younger alternate), Jesse Pennington (Karl Lindner), Tonya Pinkins (Lena Younger), with Skyler Gallun and N’yomi Stewart.

Lena Younger has decided to use her late husband’s life insurance to move her family out of their cramped apartment on Chicago’s South Side. Her son, Walter Lee, has other ideas.

  The world premiere of Douglas McGrath’s solo show, Everything’s Fine, will run Sept. 28 – Jan. 22, 2023 (opening Oct. 13) at Off-Br0adway’s  DR2 Theatre, directed by John Lithgow.

  Douglas McGrath

The play recounts McGrath’s life as a 14-year-0ld in Midland, Texas. He shares remembrances of the the courtship of he one-eyed father and his mother, who worked at Harper’s Bazaar for Diana Vreeland and became pals with Andy Warhol; and an eighth-grade teacher who would change his life.

  The Band’s Visit will begin previews Sept. 24 and open Oct. 6 at the Donmar Warehouse, directed by Michael Longhurst.

  Jason Kim & the Woodshed Collective’s KPOP will begin previews Oct. 13 and open Nov. 20 at Circle in the Square, directed by Teddy Bergman, with choreography by Jennifer Weber, and music direction by Sujin Kim-Ramsey.

The musical brings K-pop, the entertainment industry, and Korean culture to Broadway as it follows superstars risking everything for a one-night only concert as they face personal struggles that threaten their careers.

  Lucy Simon & Marsha Norman’s The Secret Garden will run Feb. 19 – Mar. 26, 2023 at the Ahmanson Theatre, directed & choreographed by Warren Carlyle, with music direction by Rob Berman.

Casting and additional information TBA.

A workshop of Carlyle’s production was held in 2018, with the hope of getting to Broadway the next season, which was scuttled by the pandemic. A filmed version of the workshop streamed during COVID, with a cast that included Sierra Boggess (Lily), Amber Iman (Martha), Drew Gehling (Neville), Matt Doyle (Albert), Adam Chanler-Berat (Dickon), and Brooklyn Shuck (Mary).

  “House of Spoils” will be begin production this Fall to stream on Amazon (release date TBA), directed by Bridget Savage Cole & Danielle Krudy, and starring Ariana DeBose.

  An ambitious chef opens her first restaurant and contends with the powerful spirit of the estate’s previous owner.

 Off-Broadway’s Out of the Box Theatrics will present staged readings of 3 new plays by emerging playwrights, with each production offering both in-person and streaming options.

   Secretos (Sept. 11 at New Hampshire’s Weathervane Theatre), by Alex Carrera. The play follows Beatrice and her Mexican-American family, consisting of her husband, disabled son, and angsty teen daughter, and the secret that binds them together.

   Call Me Abigail (Oct. 17 at a venue TBA), by Shelli Pentimall Bookler. The play explores a family conflict that arrises between a father and daughter when they delve into topics surrounding politics and the adult entertainment industry.

   Let’s Talk About Anything Else (Dec. 12 at Off-Broadway’s Theatre 71), by Anthony Anello. This horror-comedy follows a group of queer women in their twenties as they vacation together for the first time since their friend passed and become haunted by their grief.
