The Public Theater‘s world premiere production of Shaina Taub’s Suffs has announced its updated schedule. The play will now run Mar. 13 – May 1 (opening Apr. 6), directed by Leigh Silverman, with music direct & supervision by Andrea Grody, and choreography by Raja Feather Kelly.

A developmental work session of Matthew Lopez, Amber Ruffin, Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman’s Some Like It Hot will take place this month in NYC, in lieu of the canceled engagement at Chicago’s Palace Theatre, directed & choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell.
The musical now plans to open on Broadway this Fall (dates TBA).

The world premiere of Lloyd Suh’s Bina’s Six Apples will run Mar. 11-27 at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre, directed by Eric Ting.

The play is inspired by the playwrights own family’s experiences in Korea during the war. It tells the story of Bina, a 10-year-old girl who is separated from her family when they are forced to flee their home. We follow her journey to reunite with her family as she discovers the power of her own resilience. Bina will find that she’s not the only one on a difficult quest for a place to call home.
