  High Maintenance, by Peter Ritt, directed by Stan Zimmerman, opens Apr. 12, featuringIvy Khan, Christian Prentice, Merrick McCartha, Kris Frost, Tamiyka White, Alexis Ingram, and Tommy Dickey.     An unfairly disgraced actor makes her comeback in Ibsen’s A Doll’s House — opposite a robot that may bring about the end of the acting profession. The play raises questions about the relationship between art and AI, and how the status quo can turn both against each other, but really, it’s just funny. After all, a robot built to act is “the product of theatre and big tech, and an ego” is inevitable.  here.

  singularities, or the computers of Venus (begins Apr. 26), written & directed by Laura Stribling, featuring Avery Clyde, Noelle Mercer, Susan Diol, Blaire Chandler, Kate Huffman, and Krishna Smitha.    The stars? The past? The future? Our own limits? The play is set in three different time periods. the play looks at the lives of women astronomers in three different time periods as they grappple with light, love, and the infinite.  here.

   Lynn Nottage’s Fabulation, or the Re-Education of Undine will run Apr. 11 – May 19 (opening Apr. 18) at the Billie Holiday Theatre, directed by Martavius Parrish.

  Felicia Curry (Undine – Apr. 18 – May 6), Kedren A. Spencer (Undine – Apr. 19 – May 19), Stephanie Pope (Mother), Evander Duck Jr. (Father), Sharon Hope (Grandma), Mariyea Jaclson (Stephie), Roland Lane (Flow), Tito Livas (Hervé), and Blake Russell (Accountant), with Kimberlee Walker.

  The play follows a successful Black publicist forced to return to the life she left behind after her husband runs off with all her money.

  The New Group’s world premiere of Jordan Seavey’s The Seven Year Disappear, currently playing at Off-Broadway’s Signature Center, directed by Scott Elliott, will live stream its final 4 performances Mar. 29-31 HERE.
