  Gordon Greenberg & Steve Rosen’s Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors, will run Sept. 4 – Jan. 7, 2024 (opening Sept. 18) at New World Stages, directed by Greenberg.

 Bram Stoker’s horror classic gets a riotous makeover in this lightning-fast comedic reimagining that celebrates goth, camp, sexuality, and the magic of live theatre. This 90-minute, gender-bending, quick-change romp features a pansexual GenZ Count Dracula in the midst of an existential crisis. When he sets his sights on the brilliant young earth scientist Lucy Westfeldt, he meets his match for the first time – as well as a slew of other colorful characters including vampire hunter Jean Van Helsing, insect connoisseur Percy Renfield and behavioral psychiatrist Wallace Westfeldt, whose British country estate doubles as a free-range mental asylum. With a cast of brilliant quick take comedians, this Dracula will make you scream… with laughter.

  Allison Engel & Margaret Engel’s Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End will run July 29 – Aug. 20 (opening Aug. 4) at Cleveland Playhouse.

  The play draws its title from Bombeck’s popular “At Wit’s End” nationally syndicated column, which was published in 900 newspapers nationwide. The story recounts the voice of a generation of unheard homemakers who elevated their joys and struggles to a platform where they could be seen and heard.

  The world premiere of Michael Tucker’s A Tailor Near Me will run July 27 – Aug. 27 (opening July 29) at New Jersey Rep, directed by James Glossman.

  A man goes to a tailor to have his suit pants let out because he’s gained some weight since he last wore them. The tailor convinces him that what he really needs is a new suit, which leads to a negotiation, which leads to the making of a bespoke suit, which leads to alterations in both of their lives.
