  The play  explores the aftermath of her brother, Robbie’s, death by suicide and her journey of grief, survival, and transformation over the following 30 years. The play utilizes humor and raw honesty as Robins recounts her experiences and emotions surrounding Robbie’s death. She examines her guilt and explores questions about the reasons behind his decision and whether she could have intervened. The narrative grapples with themes of loss, healing, and finding purpose after a traumatic event. The play is described as “neurotic, erotic, psychotic—and ultimately healing”.

  Burbank’s Colony Theatre (Heather Provost) will launch its new TCT Writers Lab as part of its development initiative to facilitate new work be LA-based playwrights.

 

The first installment will begin this August and will continue through May 2026. TCT Writers Lab will be an incubator space for writers to develop new work amongst their peers and to receive in-the-moment feedback, allowing pieces in their infancy to grow.  TCT Writers Lab will consist of 25–30 playwrights who will meet once a week and will present excerpts of their works, receiving immediate feedback from the group. Actors will read these excerpts unrehearsed. The theatre may choose to select plays for public readings from the lab.

The play follows a dying woman and her best friends as they journey from London to Lourdes to bless her in the holy waters. All theatre folk, they “laugh and sing and drink a lot of wine.
