Four Quartets, adapted, directed by & starring Ralph Fiennes will run Nov. 18 – Dec. 18 at Harold Pinter Theatre.
The piece is considered a highlight of Eliot’s career as a poet, presenting four interwoven meditations on the nature of time, faith, and the quest for spiritual enlightenment. It was written mostly during Word War II when the closure of playhouses during the Blitz interrupted Eliot’s work in the theatre. The four pieces reflect survival in a national crisis.
