The Broadway Advocacy Coalition will present its first annual Arts in Action Festival on Sun. July 24 at NYC’s Manhattan School of Music, hosted by Liza Jessie Peterson & Khalil Cumberbatch.
The event will featuring an evening performance (open to the public) offering pieces by Lynn Nottage, Arianna Afsar, Kenyatta Hughes, and more.
Themed “Reimagining Justice,” the festival will offer space for organizations and individuals working in the arts, theatre, policy, and advocacy to showcase their work, explore opportunities for collaboration, and discuss social justice policies and resilience specific to NYC and marginalized communities. The event will consist of workshops, performances, panels, discussion groups, galleries, and video exhibits.
