 Due to the extension of  Into the Woods through Oct. 16 at the St. James Theatre, new casting has been announced:

Joining the company on Sept. 6:  Stephanie J. Block (Baker’s Wife), Sebastian Arcelus (Baker), Krysta Rodriguez (Cinderella), Katy Geraghty (Little Red Riding Hood), Jim Stanek (Steward), and Montego Glover (sharing the role of The Witch with Patina Miller. Gavin Creel (Wolfe/Cinderella’s Prince) and Joshua Henry (Rapunzel’s Prince extend their run.

Sept. 6 – 15: Andy Karl (Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince) will temporarily replaces Gavin Creel (who returns Sept. 16).

Beginning Sept. 27: Ann Harada (Jack’s Mother)

Sharing the role of The Witch: Patina Miller will continue Fridays – Sundays, with Montego Glover performing Tuesdays – Thursdays.

  A One Night Only History of Broadway Song and Dance will take place Mon. Sept. 19 at 8 PM ET at NYC’s Town Hall, written, directed & hosted by Scott Siegel, with choreography by Danny Gardner. The evening will celebrate the contribution of dance to the Broadway musical

The program will highlight the work of George M. Cohan, Fred & Adele Astaire, Agnes de Mille, Jerome Robbins, Bob Fosse, Michael Bennett, Tommy Tune, Susan Stroman, Andy Blankenbuehler, Sergio Trujillo, and Jerry Mitchell.

  Ava Wong Davie’s Graceland will run Feb. 9 – Mar. 11, 2023 (opening Feb. 15) at the Royal Court Theatre, directed by Anna Himali Howard.

 Complete casting has been announced for Lynn Nottage’s Clyde’s, to run Sept. 10 – Oct. 9 (opening Sept. 19) at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, directed by Kate Whoriskey.  After this Chicago run, the production will run at LA’s Mark Taper Forum (see next article).

De’Adre Aziza (Clyde), Kevin Kenerly (Montrellous), Reza Salazar (Rafael), and Garrett Young (Jason), with Danielle Davis, Lewon Johns, Maya Vinice Prentiss, Arik Vega, and Gage Wallace.

The formerly incarcerated staff of Clyde’s truck stop diner are looking to start their lives over in the kitchen under the pressure of the fiery rule of their owner. In pursuit of the perfect sandwich, the chefs imagine a future they been constantly told is out of reach.
