As a young artist in the 1990s, actress Anna Campbell sparked a theatrical firestorm with a staging of August Wilson monologues spoken from a female perspective performed entirely in the nude. Decades later, her provocative performance that changed the trajectory of her career, rises like a ghost, when it is to be included at a woman’s theater festival. But there’s a catch. A much younger and inexperienced actress whose credits are less than desirable has been asked to perform, causing Anna to spiral in a whirlwind of insecurity and hesitancy. With support from her manager and long-time friend Betty, Anna grapples with the choice to step aside on a road she helped to pave so that a new generation can continue the journey.

A reading of Steve Engelbrecht’s’ If I Cold Go will take place Thurs. Apr. 23 at 7 PM at Off-Broadway’s TADA Theatre (link unavailable), directed by Peter Flynn.

Marc Kudisch, Andréa Burns, Jadon Lopez, Kate Fitzgerald, Jade Jones, and Richard B. Watson, with Elissa Bonito, Jack Gemmell, Genesis Harper, Darius Jordan Lee, and Diogo Ramirez.

Inspired by the ancient Irish legend of Tír na nÓg—the Land of Eternal Youth—IF I COULD GO reimagines the myth through a contemporary lens.  Set between modern-day Dublin and a crumbling mythic realm, IF I COULD GO follows Oisín, a shy bookshop clerk who escapes into fantasy worlds—until one quite literally opens for him. When Niamh, a princess from the immortal land of Tír na nÓg, reaches out across worlds in search of a hero, Oisín steps into a journey that will test his courage, his identity, and the very nature of love. As the boundaries between worlds collapse, both must confront the cost of escape versus the necessity of living fully in the present. Blending a contemporary voice with Celtic musical influences, the show features a dynamic score of original songs and explores themes of connection, grief, and what it truly means to be brave.

Titus retaliates by baking Tamora’s sons into a pie and feeding them to her before a final bloodbath.
